Here is a fantastic digital idea coming out of the UK from the National Trust which they have put considerable effort into. They have create a microsite and mobile/tablet app that encourages kids to get out of the house and explore. It also acts as a catalyst for their parents to help their family’s discover the world beyond the TV and Lounge Room.

Encouraging kids and their family’s to explore their gardens, parks and more importantly national trust sites. It uses gamification to keeps kids involved and engaged as well as offer a step by steop platofrm for their parents to manage and approve their progress. Weeding out over zealous children falsifying their experiences.
The incentive for parents is they have a platforms which orchestrates and curates special learning experiences for their children and them in a fun and enegaging way. For the kids it allows them to explore and learn about the world around them. All this packaged neatly to highlght all of the things that the National Tust does across the UK.
