For the first time, Holler has pulled together a deck that reflects on the year past and looks at some of the key trends that we feel we will be navigating in 2013.

We look at a variety of consumer and business challenges that wil invariably help us to connect with and better understand consumers in a variety of ways in the coming year.

Below our trend round up, we have also added a couple of the other more establsihed peices to help you keep up with a varied outlook of what the industry will be doing in the coming 12 months.

Business Insider, The Future of Digital:

The Future of Digital from Busineess Insider was a great little recap on the adoption of Mobile (across the US) and it’s impact on how we continue to diversify the way we connect to the web. Articulating that perhaps native advertising at least for now will be the way forward for mobile as well as utility and gaming where applicable for brands.

JWT – 10 Trends for 2013…

JWT’s infamous and more forward looking projection which is very similar to Holler’s view point on the year to come.  They have released along with this short intro a 150 page report. It will set you back $250 but from my experience if you are a Northern Hemisphere agency. Well worth the investment.

Trend Watching:

Their trends for 2012/2013 are something to be seen. You will be bedazzled by the shear use of marketing jargon such as ‘presumers and custowners’. All great for confusing the shit out of clients in your next presentation. I haven’t seen more words made up since my 3 year old necie wrote a short story. Still a strong round up with some solid research:

Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers and Mary Meeker:

And the famous Mary Meeker from Kleiner Perkins on her round up for the year. Probably the most in-depth and technical of all:

Millward Brown, Digital Media Prediction of 2013:
Here, Millward Brown trys to look forward at some of the coming trends for 2013. This actually seems to be one of the more original and insightful publications including Social TV, Real Time Optimisation, Social Media Listening and more: http://www.millwardbrown.com/ChangingChannels/2012/Predictions/
